Hi!
Are there any mods that decrease the likelyhood of AI empires wiping each other out?

It's so difficult to get to see the full campaigns at all, and the only way to do so breaks the immersion as I have to build an extremely fortified enclave planet for each surviving empire and gift it to them, just to have *some* of them survive to the end...

It's just so comical...
<< How DARE you negotiate my hand in marriage??? Bring 2 corvettes and 6 destroyers to fight me if you can afford them! >>
<< Sweetie I just conquered the last of your dad's planets with 15 battleships, now be a dear and go play with your toys somewhere else while I pretend that the Kra'Hen are still a threat >>

I don't recall ever finding any mods for the game.

But you can edit the ig2.exe file and see if you can allow other races to start with higher techs and also maybe lower costs for things like space base, which would allow them to build it faster.

I'm assuming Kra'hen is the race that's conquering the other races? If so, you can try to increase cost on some of their tech to slow them down or even lower the dmg output of their superweapoin to make it less of a one-shot killer.

So, while there appears to be no actual mods, you can "tweak" the game before starting it, thus no immersion breaking. :)
.
Edit: Oops, I guess you wanted to know about AI agression. The file may contain such data, but I have no idea how to look for that part. I'm surprised people even found out the above mentioned info at all, since it's not exactly a small file.
