i have been working with the unofficial imperialism 2 map editor and i never get my map to work when i place tribes. i have also had lockups ingame when i place too many provinces. anybody know where i can find instructions?

This is a very late response, but from what I remember talking with dminoz a few years back on the Yahoo! group: you should not place tiles too far west as they conflict with the generation of the New World.

The New World is always generated based on the key given so you can't create a map with a new world of your making.

when the game hangs, i usually place stuff on the right side of the map, not on the left.
