Need a little more information. Explain what is saying this and when does it do it? Then someone may be able to help you more with your problem.

I had the same problem but but i did not have the GOG downloader which you have to install :)

When your at the download page for IL-2 Sturmovik to the right is the GOG.com Downloader moder, click that on and then click learn more. You will be directed to another page and click download windows installer. Then you can go back to the downloads page again and download the Windows Game installer for IL-2 Sturmovik and that patch
