So I'm confronting Brother Poquelin for a second and I guess final time. This will take a while, although I'm hoping not to have to ask for help here.

The problem is, the cutscene takes ages. Poquelin goes on and on and then Everard turns up. Pressing ESC, <return>, tab and the spacebar don't cut it short. Obviously, with baddies about, I can't save. Exiting the room doesn't appear to be possible, so it isn't possible to leave and then save. Is there anything that can be done about this, or do I just have to live with it?

Unfortunately you just have to live with it. Especially annoying if you have to reload, because you have to sit through it all again. It's the final battle though, so just slog through and try your best. You only need one character alive at the end to win, so you're good to go (your characters are automatically exported when you enter that room, so they're saved if you want to use them to go into HoW).
I was worried you were going to say that. Live with it I will - under protest. It's useful to know I only need one character to survive. Thanks for a fifth time. Now, how do I mark this as resolved? I made it a question, this time.
