Hi.
I bought IWD today and just got started. Basically I encountered a problem at the very beginningof the game:
When I first went to the shopkeeper in the starting town (forgot name) I could buy and sell stuff as usual. After this I went out and spoke to some townsfolk, helped the little boy to get back his fish and visited the drunk sailor who want's me to fetch some booze for him. So I went back to the shop, but now the shopkeeper won't talk to me anyomore. I left click him, push the talk button and then click on him etc..., it doesn't matter, there is no reaction.
Same goes with the innkeeper: on my first visit I could talk to him and get myself a room, but on my second visit I can't talk to him anymore.
Is this some kind of bug? Or does this happen because I took some stuff from their rooms?

This is a bug. if the NPCs have any reaction to you stealing their stuff, it will be that they turn hostile. I've had this bug happen to me a couple times but a save and reload always fixed it.
Thanks Coelocanth, save and reload solved the problem.
Sometimes, you can't talk to NPCs when you have "Enable Cheat Console" ticked, although I don't think that was the case here.
