According to the docs for Icewind Dale II, Weapons Finesse applies the shield's penalty if a shield is used, but the character sheet gives no indication of this. Has anyone seen the code on this? Is the penalty applied, or is it an unimplemented rule?

Only dagger and small swords qualify for Weapon finesse in IWD2
So maybe your character does not qualify it in the first place, and wearing a shield changes nothing.

Ah. no. I have many characters who use short swords and shields and use the finesse feat. They show no shield penalty even with the largest shields.
