After I place four of the six chairs in the Man's Job house in the new DLC, the last two never appear as the money disappears from the budget. I "placed" six ghost chairs at full price before starting the quest over. I restarted it and tried it all over again, but no go the second time either. I'm just going to place that hideous floor tiling (I hate Palisander because it makes all the furniture look crooked) and take the partial finish so I can continue on.

Two more bugged quests.

Another 5th and 6th dining chair not appearing in, I think, Water Horizon.

Sea View: none of the sofas on the second floor will appear when paid for.

This is horrible.

It's some kind of (presumably unintended) limit on the number of items per room introduced in a recent patch. Since the limit is per room, you can work around it by splitting the room then removing the wall, make sure you count no more than 8 table/chair items in a given room and you should be fine.

Yeah, I know. Don't shoot the messenger :P

Oh, and be generous with your definition of "table" and "chair", since apparently sofas count. Not sure about desks... They might, in which case the limit may be one higher, since I tested in "first office", which already has some sort of desk placed.
