pponmypupu: I was looking through the controls menu and I started pressing escape to get to the previous menu, and weird stuff started happening. The WASD on screen started to disappear like they were being rewritten and after I got back to the game menu the game was in a constant state of pressing down, making the game unplayable and impossible to rewrite the controls. I've tried uninstalling completely and reinstalling, but the issue is still there - the controls are still functional and in a stuck state of pressing down.
Do you have a gamepad connected?

Also, try deleting a file called keyboard.dat and see if that helps :D

pponmypupu: thanks for replying! I don't have a gamepad connected, and where do I find the keyboard.dat file? I'm looking in the program files (86)/gog.com/hotline miami directory.. is there somewhere else I should be looking?
Hmm I might've been a bit wrong on the keyboard.dat file. Could you try uninstalling the game and reinstalling? Also, which version of the GOG installer for the game do you have?

pponmypupu: I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling. I have the latest GOG downloader - 3.2.14.0.
I meant the actual installer for the game i.e. setup_hotline_miami_<version number goes here>.exe :D

Try unistalling and reinstalling. There should be a new patch coming soo which hopefully addresses this problem.
