Greetings everyone!
First, here are the most important info for you:
Official Discord: https://discord.gg/5gGGEvvdFn
Roadmap for the "Games in Development" Phase: https://trello.com/b/TwsLjfF7/hrc-road-map
The Roadmap is an evolving document. We will update it during the weeks and months to come. We will always put the next upcoming Update to the front so that you can see what we are currently working on. Further planned Updates can be found when you scroll to the right side. Keep in mind that not all the content we plan is listed there - usually due to the fact that we don't know yet what exactly will be included. We're a very small team after all and while we've been working for a long time on the game now it is still hard to predict when what will be ready.
Modding
For now, Mods can be shared via Nexus (https://www.nexusmods.com/highrisecity).
The Building Editor will be among the first updates (Full Roadmap can be found here.
On the long run we plan to support Mod.io.
Creating new maps should become a thing for users down the road. It will however require the Unreal Engine. We are working on Tutorials on how the Voxel Terrain can be created.
Should I buy a game which is still in development?
That's a question which is nearly impossible to answer. If you are looking for a new City Skylines, well, maybe look out for something else. Highrise City is heavily inspired by Sim City 4 and the economy parts of the Anno series. It is much closer to these titles than anything else. In terms of content it can already offer easily up to 20 - 30 hours. But it isn't finished yet. It is still rough around the edges. It still contains quite a few bugs. Be ready for that if you decide to buy into a game which is not yet finished.
