My computer automatically updated to windows 11 last night and Heroes of Might and Magic 3: Complete is failing to load despite having played it before the upgrade. Is anyone else having this issue?
It goes like this:
1. Click the "Play" button on the GOG page for Homm3
2. Get a "Bonk" noise from windows and Homm3 logo appears in task bar
3. Click the application and it disappears from task bar
Event viewer shows this seemingly ambiguous error:
Faulting application name: Heroes3.exe, version: 4.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x39b83835
Faulting module name: Heroes3.exe, version: 4.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x39b83835

Report Id: 7671aa18-1087-4d47-9443-c75a8856198d
Faulting package full name:
Faulting package-relative application ID:
I repaired and that didn't work then uninstalled and reinstalled but to no avail.
Any ideas?
Edit: The issue was caused by windows 11 installation overwriting my graphics driver with some generic one.
