Hi everyone,

Is it possible to run Heroes Chronicles in windowed mode? The 32-bit patch didn't seem to work for me, but maybe I'm doing something wrong - can anyone advise?

Just set your desktop colour depth to 16-bit and in game press F4 or Alt+Enter.

This is going to sound slightly embarrassing :) but I'm not sure how to set my desktop colour to 16-bit. Where do I go in the control panel to do that?

Right click to desktop -> properties-> the rightmost card (called monitor or display? I can't remember off the top of my head and I am not at home now - you can change screen resolution there). Then just change the colour depth and it's done.

Thanks, it worked! Guess I can't have 32-bit colour and play in windowed mode at the same time though ;)

You're welcome.
I didn't bother myself with any 32-bit patches. Heroes 3 is installed on my PC all the time, so I don't even switch to 32-but colour depth anymore. :)

Haha, it's still the best of the whole series :P I never got the chance to delve into Chronicles before, but now that I've started I think my PC's going to stick to 16-bit for a while ;)
