Something weird is happening with the resurrection spell over the last couple days.
I've played using the spell many times -- in fact I usually choose Dungeon town to start with and Alamar as hero, because he specializes in it. It has always worked fine.
But now I am ending battles with either my entire army intact or missing whatever amount of troops I couldn't resurrect because it was a tougher battle, noting that number, and then exiting the battle screen to find none or only some of my troops resurrected. Saving and reloading the game doesn't fix the numbers, nor does restarting the game, nor rebooting my computer, nor starting a new game.
This is really weird. It's the first time I've played in months, but I've done nothing to the game's directory or messed with it in any way. And I do know how to count and made sure multiple times that this problem was not just me spacing out in some way about how many troops I really started with or had rezzed. I even finally cleared out my savegame directory entirely and took some files off my hard disk to make sure there was all the room in the world for new info & savegames ...
Any ideas? I'm thinking just reinstall.
