I'm using the following emulator:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eltechs.es

I've put in about 5 hours in the last couple of days and love it. The game runs very smoothly, with not a single glitch and no lag. I'm using a Samsung Note 10.1 2014 edition which is a fairly high end tablet so your experience may differ.

This tablet comes with a stylus which works really well with the game. As you hover over different locations with the stylus the cursor icon changes to reflect your options.

I haven't tried it with WOG yet (I've decided this was a good opportunity to reconnect with the vanilla game), but one of the commenters on google said it works.

I consider the $7 a reasonable cost given how polished the end result is. It will also work with Disciples II, which I haven't played but it looks promising.

Is that supposed to be a Windows emulator?
This sounds pretty cool. One of the things that is keeping me uncertain of whether my next machine should be another laptop PC or instead an Android tablet is how much I love playing GOG games. It wouldn't quite feel like a computer without them.
It is indeed a Windows emulator, but it is only optimized for a small number of games.

Since early August I have completed all of the ROE campaigns and I just finished the main campaign of AB (my favorite thus far).

Heroes 3 is a GREAT commuting game. I have a 45 minute train ride each way that has been flying by. Playing on a nice tablet further enhances the experience.
