For whatever reason the ingame options for music and sound effects volume isn't working, whatever I change there it keeps blasting at full volume(even if I disable them altogether), and I like to play with headphones so it's kind of a problem.

Of course I can always just lower the overall system volume when playing, but I was wondering is this is a known problem, and how to fix it.

I'm using the regular dosbox version btw.

Never heard about this problem, but you should be able to turn down DOSBox's sound individually.

If you have installed the game in Program Files, try re-installing it somewhere else.

When you have music type set to "CD STEREO" ,with or without operatic awesomeness, does the ingame volume setting work?

To me it only works if it's set to Midi...

Disabling the music in the settings menu, then starting/loading a game turns it off though, very weird...
