We are trying to connect as 6 players via gameranger on the same network, and it always leaves at least 1 player unable to connect, stuck in title screen. When we try again and again the person unable to connect changes from time to time. Any solutions?

We had some problems too, and we were only two persons. Either unable to create host or unable to join (no firewalls, all network settings OK, not ISP. etc.)

Maybe you should try using Tunngle instead of Game Ranger? Some folks of mine been using it for quite a while without any problems.

How does tuungle really help though if we are actually lan anyway? Also, everyone doesn't have admin rights so you probably can't install it, unlike gameranger
