I am using windows 10 and just got the HOMM3 complete edition. Now apart from the HD patch being flagged as malware by windows defender (I had to use the mirror as the main link has been disabled), when I try and open up the game I just get a message saying 'HOMM3 has stopped working'.

I don't get any clue as to what's wrong. I have tried opening from the desktop, via galaxy and from the game files.

Anyone else had this ?

You take Windows Defender seriously? Are you running the game as administrator?

Yes I am running as an admin and yes when my software says a file contains malware I tent to take it seriously.

Windows Defender isn't a good antivirus at all. Anything it says is wrong... >.>

Besides, innumerable players use the HD mod, that will give you an idea that it's a false positive.

Where was the game installed?
Did you try running from default exe or from the one hd patch created?
Are you running it as a admin or with compatibility settings?
Are you sure Defender didnt delete some file the hd mod needs (btw using also win10 and defender and didnt show me that there was any virus)
Why aren't you using MBAM as a backup anti-malware program?
