Hi, I just downloaded HOMM2 via GOG Galaxy onto my Windows 10 laptop. I created a random map through the generator, but am unable to find it in the list of maps. I know in the past I had similar problems, but this time I can't figure it out. Something that appears to be a sound file did show up in the Cloud saves folder under HOMM2, but moving that file to the MAPS folder did not make it show up in the list of available maps when I started the game. One of my favorite things about HOMM2 was the very random map editor, so I'd love to play a random map if I could find it after creation. Please help! Thanks.

Make sure, that you save your map after generating it if "save map without viewing " is not checked at Random Map Generator screen.

Most likely your map is with .MX2 file extension, so you should pick
•New Game
•Standard game
•Expansion map

Default name for new random map is "Random Map #"
( Default name for new map is "No Name". )

Check the map settings.
Check if there are human only or computer only players. May be that it is multiplayer only?
Extension should be .mp2 for original map and .mx2 for expansion map.

Thanks, I'll double-check all that tonight. I did check 'save map without viewing' and I'm pretty sure it was single player with a mixture of human/computer players. It's possible I've messed it up somehow.
