Hello, I just recently installed Heroes 3 on Windows 10, and when I want to start the game up it just shows the spinning globe and testing for a few seconds, and then a black screen and nothing changes.

Installed through GOG Galaxy, tried running as an administrator, turning of antivirus, but none of that helped.

I also have all the latest drivers installed for my pc.

Thanks in advance, guys.

Browse up to the game's install directory and set Heroes3.exe to run as administrator (not just Galaxy) and in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP3.
That didn't work, unfortunately. However, I uninstalled heroes 3, and then uninstalled galaxy. Then I downloaded just the installer and the universal patch straight from the website, and installed it like that, without galaxy, and it runs. But, there's another problem; now I don't have sound. No music, no sound effects, nothing. I have no idea what might be causing that.

Although your advice didn't help, thank you very much for replying so quickly.
I have found out what the problem was, and solved it! Apparently, in the sound options in windows 10, some sound enhancements are turned on by default, and are known to cause problems in games. So, I just turned of those sound enhancements and voila.
