Honestly I started with HOI3 and have really loved it over the many years. I heard how great HOi2 is but I've never been able to get into it.

Thank you for the reply. With the sale going on. Is the complete HOI 3 worth the extra $? Thanks Again.
Can it do 1080p?

Hello,
If you get HOI3 get everything. It really does help it. It definitely can handle 1080p.

The biggest changes are the much larger number of territories and how units are assembled. I've always played it with mods.

I'd say watch a quick lets play to see if the gameplay would appeal to you.

I'd say the worst part of the game is naval combat. It really could have used at least one expansion to focus on it. You'll go entire games without anyone in the entire game losing a single aircraft carrier. Submarines are very weak against ships, only ever to be used against convoys. The actual combat between surface units is pretty good but the problems with submarines and aircraft carriers was never fixed. Submarines will rarely ever sink a surface warship. They do get a surprise round(sometimes) but once in combat any ship with anti-submarine weapons will easily sink submarines.

Yea i've been watching some tutorials and that seems like there's a lot of agreement on the naval point.
