I would like to update/modify the 3d models of units already in the game, but I do not know how or even if it is possible to extract the .lwo's from the .mrb files. I can open them in ShowboxN, but see no options to export the model. Anyone know if this is possible and how to do it?

Edit: I know how to create/edit 3D models, I meant to say I don't know how to extract the meshes from the .mrb file. That is what I am asking for assistance with.

Nevermind. I found out about a D3D capture utility called 3D Ripper DX (free) which grabbed the meshes for me.
Cool! If you get to change the models and re-import them back into the game (or use them for wallpapers or whatever), please be sure to post the results here!
Unfortunately, I don't understand the difference between the supported version of lightwave's meshes and the newer ones that aren't accepted. Also, the animations/bones are not captured, so that would have to be remade by examining the originals in Showbox. HD Wallpapers are much more firmly in the realm of possibility.

How did you make it work ? If I press on launch the game just immediatly stops without an error message... Have you configured it somehow... special ?
