Hi all,

We've uploaded a patch for the Windows version of GF Remastered ("Patch 1.2.2" on your game shelves.) as well as a new DMG and tar.gz for the Mac and Linux versions. Please download either the patch or the DMG or tar.gz in order to have the latest and greatest version of the game :)

Changes for version 1.2.2:

- Missing hotspots in ri.set.
- Can get locked in the inventory in the Beaver Dam area during the extinguisher puzzle.
- Fix save/load crash related to malformed text events.
- Fix crash when transitioning between SU and PS after grabbing Chepito.
- Attempted fix for font crash when transitioning between year 1 and year 2.
- Fix game not installing properly on hard drives over 2 TB in Linux OS.
- More graphics logging enabled to try to help track down graphics issues.
- Backgrounds appear black on the Intel HD 4000 for some users.
- Added support for "-log" on OSX and Linux.
- Manny can get stuck in the packing room.
- Bread can become invisible in your inventory after you use it on the roof.
- Buffers reworked to reduce video memory requirements
- Fix for FMV stuttering on some machines.
- Fix ability to clip through the wheelbarrow in tank controls.
- Fix rare pathing soft lock when walking to the bone wagon in SG.

Farilyn: Do the new DMG keep saved games?
I dont know 'what you mean by dmg, (is it a Mac thing?) but in Windows 7 x64 my saves were kept intact.

DMG is Apple's Disk iMaGe format. It's somewhat like a cross between an .ISO (it's mounted as if it were a disk) and a .ZIP file (it's a compressed archive.)

Very common way to distribute software on a Mac.
.dmg(mac)=.exe(win). you've downloaded a patch, i'm downloading a full executable file. i don't have experience in mac os game updates.

That's great news!

Does this address the game needing OpenGL 3.3 in anyway? I read somewhere that Double Fine is looking into getting the game, or at least the classic version that comes with the remastered version, to run on systems with older graphic cards that have 3.1.

Currently the game won't even launch if it detects anything less than OGL 3.3.
No, OpenGL versions lower than 3.3 are still unsupported. I had your same thought and tried to run Grim Fandango Remastered on my Intel HD Graphics 3000 (that supports OpenGL 3.1) and it didn't work, but it works great if I set it to run with the AMD Radeon HD 7670M (though I don't know exactly what OpenGL version it supports, but with the latest drivers it should be 4.4 or 4.5).

I have a laptop that has Intel Graphics 3000 and was hoping to play the game there because it's hooked up to the big screen in the living room. Thankfully that isn't my main gaming PC, but I was hoping that I could play the classic version on it, at least.

I don't understand why the program won't even launch because of 3.1 or what Open GL does exactly in the first place...

I did, after they said they'll fix that bug ;)
Sorry but I'd rather they come up with a way to make it compatible with my laptop so that I can access the classic version since the re-mastered won't work at all and I can't even LAUNCH IT on my laptop in order to get that access.

This is not really within the scope of the remaster. However, it is a valid request, and you'd be better off submitting it directly to the developers' forum. Maybe if enough people ask for it (and others have done so already), they will eventually implement it.

What laptop is that?
