So I'm at the library now, and I found a journal saying I have illuminated staff. I don't.

Looking it up, I was supposed to be given a kinetic stone by the tax collector. They didn't.

I spoke with the tax collector at the entrance, they vanished when I spoke to them, they re-appeared near the other entrance to town, but they don't react at all.

I played most of that part on higher difficulty before lowering it, so that might be relevant.

Any way to get the kinetic stone without starting all over?

Solved this by somehow opening the debug console (tab?) and entering "GiveItem KineticStone" or something like that.

Edit: I'm not sure this is entirely right since the kinetic stone is second in the list and I don't have the first either?
