As I logged in today, I got a notification that Gothic II Gold has been updated. However, as I look at the game info under "my account", I cannot find what has been updated. What was this update about? Wouldn't want to d/l 1.9 GB and install G2 again if nothing's been changed about the installer.

The update was the addition of a German installer; the English installer has not changed.

You can use the GOG.com Downloader to check the version status of your existing installers (as long as they are stored in the folder structure it expects). It will skip anything that is unchanged.
