Please forgive my ignorance, but this is my first time playing Gothic (great game so far), and I am curious as to the maximum character level that one can achieve in the game?
I have skimmed the manual and a couple of guides from Gamefaqs, but I have not found this information. I am sorry if I have missed it!

As far as I am aware, there is no maximum level, however, there is a set amount of respawns for enemies in the wilderness, and with all the quests and enemies in the game, you will most likely only reach a certain level, you could consider that your "max".
You will most likely end the game around level 35 if you don't skim over quests.
