I goofed and now Xardaz is wearing uriziel. He's in god mode so I can't beat him up and take it. I need the cheat to get the identified but uncharged sword. I have researched this and found two codes and tried both but both were "unknown commands". These were:

myhthriklinge01 and mythrikling01

I'd like to finish this playthrough but, unless I can get the correct code, I won't be able to.

The correct code should be:
mythrilklinge01

You messed up letters in both versions you quoted.
If you find the spelling difficult to remember, maybe this helps:
it's a composite noun made up of 'mythril' (the magic ore in Lord of the Rings) and 'klinge', the German word for blade.

Looks like I'm hosed then - with the correct code as given, it stills says unknown command.

When using marvin to spawn an item which will appear in front of you,

you have to type -> insert -> then the item.

as you begin to type, the words will semi-complete automatically.

Slimfat is, of course, correct. I took this for granted.
But if you leave out the "insert", it will be a "command unknown".

Sometimes it's the little things ....

I rarely use "marvin" so I didn't know. Will try a bit later but I feel good about this.

EDIT: I spoke too soon - now I'm getting, "insert not found". One does type: insert mythrilklinge01 on one line as just typed, correct?

I'm working from memory - i will get the correct codes and come back later - unless someone else can help

EDIT: Just installed Gothic to verify Uriziel can be spawned.

In marvin i typed -> insert mythrilklinge01 and uriziel was there right in front of me.

retry and double check (also type z to get y) - i have never known marvin to fail.

I was wondering about the "y" "z" switch. I did try again and it did work. Not sure what happened before - I did check my typing to be sure there were no typos like there was in my last message before I fixed it. But, whatever, it worked and I can finish the game! Wish I could mark this as answered but, I forgot to check the box at the very beginning to list it as a question but a hearty thanks to ye and philobyte.

Note to self - be careful to not inadvertently sell items to one of the god NPCs. :)
