To start i should tell you that i do not owe this game on GoG, i bought it on steam but i thought that it would be the smartest idea to do a post on this site cause it has helped me greatly before on gothic topics.

So i´m on the mission "Way into the Sleeper`s temple".

I have now nearly killed every shaman and am right after the moment where you meet the first templar gaurding the gate.
After killing him you are supposed to go to an area nearby to shoot an arrow on a plate so the spikes go off on the floor and afterwards shoot on a plate that is reaveled on a wall in the same room.

When you shoot on this plate, a gate close nearby should open where you are supposed to do a color combination puzzle of some sort.
However, when i shoot on this plate a cut scene should start and the gate should open, but it never does and i am now stuck. I have load an earlier save and searched about this problem on the internet, but cant find anything.

Do I now need noclip to go through or re install the game? plz help!

To refresh peoples memories i have a clip on youtube where the right event occurs:

The cutscene not working is to do with the saves, so reinstalling won't help. Using noclip is easy enough though:

1. Open the character window (S or B by default)
2. type marvin
3. close the character window
4. Press K at the gate to phase through it, adjusting your position and angle with the normal controls and repeating K as necessary until you reach the other side.

When you are done and want to turn it off simply go back into the character window and type 42.

Clipping through the gate doesn't break anything and you can complete the game normally without any problems. :)

Get past the gate, save and quit, then go back to playing with the FPS patch as before. :)

Ye I guess i can re install it, even tho it cant be much more to until the end. Cant wait to play gothic 2 afterwards. I know i am very late to play this series. Just heard about it and never thought i would get to play a game better than the elder scrolls :)

Btw, how do you give out a solution? :)

You didn't post this as a question topic so you can't mark a solution (I don't think you can change a normal topic to a question topic later on). When you have posted a question topic you'll see a "mark as solution" button near the posting date when you hover over a post.

You'll definitely want to check out the developers' new series, Risen, at some point. It's a continuation of Gothic in all but name (duen to complications with their previous publisher). The first game was released in 2009 and a sequel, Risen 2: Dark Waters, is due some time next year.

this works with the fps patch/mod thingamajing, just typed marvin the pressed k and I was inside, you don't need to uninstall the gothic mod
