Just bought and downloaded the game, an error message pops up for me every time i try to launch.

'g_app::Create failed: Cant create application singleton. Check log for more infos'

Any ideas guys?

EDIT: It works for me now. I manually edited the resolution in the ge3.ini file to match what i was using in windows. Its in the ini folder in gothic main directory

You could try the newest patch. The odd thing is, that I cant even find it on the English page of World of Gothic, just on the German one, but here is the link: http://www.worldofgothic.de/dl/download_478.htm
They state there that it is compatible with any version and any language.

If this doesnt work, you are maybe missing something. I could imagine that it is a missing Visual C++ Redistributable (cant tell you which one is necessary) or a missing Direct X 9 installation (on Windows after XP you have to install Direct X 9 separately).

Also you could just restart your computer, maybe the problem is gone after the restart?

Further it would be possible, that another application is hindering the game from running correctly (especially anti virus software, graphical tuning software and similar software).

Btw. you could also append the log file which is mentioned by the error message, maybe this would help to find a solution.

And as a last resort you could contact the support.
