Hello there. How can I use rus subs with german sound? I played that way in my childhood, would really like to make it work. Russian sound is good, but german works so much better with the game for me
Thanks in advance

A quick search on the interwebs claims the following to work:

For Gothic I:

1. Install the Russian version of Gothic I
2. Copy the file "fonts.VDF" located in Gothic/Data and the scripts folder located in Gothic/_work/DATA to somewhere else
3. Uninstall the Russian version of Gothic I
4. Install the German version of Gothic I
5. Paste the copies of "fonts.VDF" and the scripts folder to the locations you copied them from in step 2. (I guess you'll have to confirm overwriting any existing files/folders)
6. Et voila, German audio + Russian subtitles

For Gothic II:

Same as the above but instead of "fonts.VDF" you need to copy and paste a file called "textures_fonts_apostroph.VDF".
