Do I need to increase dexterity as a melee and magic character?

Also my game crashes every so often and I can't seem to fix it.Running fps unlocker and community patch.

Thanks for affirming what i thought. Sometimes it crashes with an admission error or a few other types. Most of the time it just freezes. I've read G1 is prone to crashing anyway, I just save often. This game is glorious by the way.
