Here are some news taken from the discord of Stuck In Attic the devs behind "Gibbous: A Cthulhu Adventure" and the upcoming "Near-Mage":

Greetings, cultists and near-mages! It's been 3 years (!) since I drew this backer-funded comic mini-prequel to Gibbous - A Cthulhu Adventure, so we decided to make it available to everyone.
It will probably make more sense you've played at least some of the game :)
Enjoy!

MarkoH01: the upcoming "Near-Mage":
Wait, what? I love point and click games in general so I have to add this to my wishlist.

I could see from Gibbous that the writers have actually read Lovecraft and not just slap a tentacle or two in the game and call it a day. If the next game has the same commitment behind it, I'm sold.

Actually they are really big Lovecraft fans and might know one or two things even the most dedicated fan does not know. I know these devs now for several years and I am pretty sure that you will see the same (if not more) commitment in Near-Mage. Keep in mind though that while Near-Mage will play in the same universe it will not be as lovecraftian as Gibbous.

Yes, that was clearly visible from the depth of the lore in the game. And that's what I liked. There's enough games that just add a tentacle and market themselves as Lovecraftian, but these guys are clearly fans.

Oh, it is in the same universe? I just watched the trailer and expected it to be a new universe. Some dark version of Hogwarts or something. But that's even better if they keep some level of Lovecraft in the game.

I hope to see it on GOG some day. Do you happen to know if it is coming here?

Yes, it will come to GOG with 100%. After the success of Gibbous they got permission for their next game on GOG quite fast. That is the reason why they even have the GOG.com logo on their kickstarter site now. As a backer I already opted for a GOG key as well :)

Excellent.

Hm. The Kickstarter campaign ended a month ago and it seems it is no longer possible to pledge there. Shame. I should have found out about this game earlier.

I did create a thread for it when they ran the kickstarter but of course you can't be everywhere. Sorry that you missed it. I will inform you personally if they should do another one for their third game :)

No worries. I just have to keep my eyes more open. I also missed Thimbleweed Park and perhaps from my avatar and slogan you might gather that I am fond of Ron Gilbert's games. But yeah, if there is anything new coming from them feel free to PM. I very much like to support indie devs, especially when they produce games with this quality.
