When I try to connect my Steam account, Galaxy adds just about dozen Steam games (I have around 3000), and stays like that with "Importing Steam" message.
I can kinda use rest of Galaxy after that, but after I close it, I can't reopen it unless I manually close everything Galaxy related in task manager.

I'm having trouble only with Steam. I've tried importing Uplay and Origin and it works perfectly fine.

I'm having the same problem as well. However, It also stays at the "loading" message and freezes
Same here.
Same here as well

I don't know if this has to do anything, but as soon as I loaded a steam game, through steam obviously, everything went back to normal.

I tried that but didn't work in my case. It seems to be a general issue since i've seen several reports on this already from different people.
The problem reappeared as soon as I turned on my pc.

edit: and by the time I posted this message, the steam library made its entrance. The best thing we could do is to send a bug report.
