Okay so I bought CP 2077 with the intent of no launcher nothing. Come to find this game doesn't have the option to install without a pesky launcher. Caveat to this is that every time I try to install the game to my external SSD it gets stuck on allocating disk space at 1% when I clearly have 2TBS of storage. Not to mention I have it set to performance and cache writing. Its a Samsung T7 portable nice lil SSD. So I can only assume the issue is with the launcher and not the SSD, where as I can download whatever I desire onto it with zero issues but now this? Any theories or help would be thankful.

If i can't get this resolved I'll probably just refund it and get the steam version. Seems like the fastest solution
It was the solution everything got along fine. Nothing i can do about it. Maybe make the game installable without a launcher idk. SSD could have an issue reading and writing from the launcher who knows. Samsung says my product is functioning properly and is healthy.

Hello and welcome. You're newly registered and you only have one game, so presumably you didn't notice where the offline installers are.

1. Hover over your name at the top of this page and click Games in the menu that pops up.
2. Click the thumbnail for the game you want to download from your library.
3. Ignore the big blue button and instead click Download offline backup installers to expand that section. Download everything there except for any patches; you don't need those since you're downloading the installers for the first time and they're already up-to-date.

Note 1: you should first uninstall the game from GOG Galaxy and then maybe uninstall GOG Galaxy itself. Otherwise, even if installing from the offline installers, trying to start the game may still launch GOG Galaxy. In case of problems, see How Do I Launch Cyberpunk without GoG galaxy?

Note 2: by playing the game without GOG Galaxy, you'll miss out on a few goodies on top of the usual launcher features, like achievements.

Yeah that wouldve likely worked. But in general im not sure it wouldve passed the allocation phase anyways. However i managed to get it on steam but for whatever reason the install/allocation/preparing/verifying took 4hrs plus, this is the only game ive ever seen chug along so slowly. I can download 200gigs with 65% less time

I'm glad you got the solution you needed, and welcome to GOG, but I just wanted to address something here: you said you bought it here so you didn't have to use a launcher (GOG Galaxy) but you said if you couldn't figure out how to do that, you'd refund and buy it on Steam, which requires a launcher. I'm just a bit confused as to why you'd do that, especially since buying from GOG means you actually own what you buy unlike on Steam, EGS, etc. and once you get the game installed here, you never even have to think about using the client.
