I just got the Beta access today and added my Steam account, which ended up showing all the little free things I've downloaded over the past 7 years. I've removed them in Steam, but I don't know when or if 2.0 will reflect that, or how long it takes for official processing in Steam, I just finished removing them.
No posts in this topic were marked as the solution yet. If you can help, add your reply
u can just hide them through gog 2.0 till theye ventually fade from ur account.

what do you mean by "fade"?
there should be a feature to check game licences and remove from galaxy games you no longer own. if there's no such feature then it won't "fade".
are you sure it is there? or it works like Lutris (it won't remove missing licences too, need to manually remove every game from its web site).

to OP
try to disconnect and connect steam again, maybe it will refresh your current game list. steam reflects change immediately from what I know (removed more than 100 licences) the only question is if galaxy can reflect this change correctly.

Yeah, I think it might've bugged and required me to sign into Steam again, and then most were gone. It still shows Alien Swarm, which I don't think I saw in Steam, or I couldn't remove it. Not sure what's happening there.
Even after going through some options in this thread, there's still some that show up.

I assume it's a bug. Not just with Steam... other stores/launchers also show up 'demos' I long uninstalled and they don't show up on their own launchers, but does on GOG Galaxy. It might be a 2-way connection bug between GOG Galaxy and the other launchers through the integrations. So far, I've been 'hiding' them, but we'll see.

no, it's not a bug. it's the way how galaxy plugins get your games data. you basically see every game that you can see from your steam account when logged in (because plugin parses html view of your profile). all free games are visible in your games (user profile - games section). the only place you don't see free games is in your steam app (library) unless you install that game.
if you want to get rid of free/demo games you will have to remove their licences from steam so it will stop to show in your games list, then galaxy will stop to show it in galaxy library. if you already removed licences but galaxy still shows these games then you can speak about the bug. but so far it is not.

I just explained why you see Alien Swarm - it is free game and if you have the licence and its shown in your user profile - games list you will see it in galaxy as well. you can remove it from licences

Right, I should've used the correct term... sorry, I didn't mean bug per se, but wouldn't there a way to change how galaxy plugins get games data, in such a way to not "see" (or ignore) those 'demo'/'free' games, when they themselves do not show on their respective launchers?

I'm guessing "removing their licences from, like, steam" wouldn't be that easy (at least I have not seen any easy option)? Please, can you show us what to do?

galaxy wont know if game is free or not, it just takes all games it sees. go to your steam profile from browser, click on games and you will see by yourself.

to remove game licences you can use this way~
in steam client top menus
help-steam support-games software-

start typing name of the game you want to remove, then select "I want to permanently remove this game from my account"

this way you will remove free and paid games you want. if it is only for free games you can use this view and click "remove" on free games

I did that, and Alien Swarm was explicitly not there. TF2 doesn't go away either. I removed everything I could.

*Edit, I actually did a different way, that shows your entire list of games instead of having to do it one by one. This was way more convenient and I didn't have to guess at what I had. Neither that method nor the method you described showed Alien Swarm in my library, nor any way to remove it.
This Steam Forum post has your method, as well as the one I used at the bottom of the page;

I'll try that, thanks! (as well as checking the Steam Forum post posted by JZStudios below just in case).

(there are still some on Origin I'd like to do the same, but I'll try to figure it out).

Unless they "hardcode" at least the games with the word 'demo', but that could cause more troubles down the road (like a game with an actual title that contains the word 'demo'.)

That would be a "great" solution for Origin games.

Hi

I have a slightly different issue, I purchased a number of games and activated them under their respective launchers, how do I get the galaxy beta to "add" these into my library. I tried using the integrations but it did not finfd the new games.
