Hi

Well.... I'm still waiting for an invitation to 2.0 beta (since June as far as I remember) but today I try to update my 1.2.x client by downloading and installing galaxy client and now I have 2.0 version and I can't use Galaxy client anymore. How can I get back to 1.2.x client now? Any ideas?

uninstall galaxy 2.0 and install the old one
Should I back up anything before?

There should not be any need to back up anything. After uninstall simply reinstall Galaxy 1 and import all your installed games by scanning the game installation folder. I did this myself two times and never had any problems. You games won#t be touched anyway so not much can happen.
OK, thank you guys :)

What about specific settings like not wanting auto updates on specific games?

To be honest, I have not tried if Galaxy is remembering those when you switch back clients but since there is no other way to get back to the old client than reinstalling the old client I doubt that it would be possible to backup those settings mnanually anyway. Maybe lefty can say more.
Anyone got an installer for an older Galaxy Version? I accidentally upgraded to galaxy 2.0 and am realy pissed of that shit. I don't like it and want the old Galay back

from the other threads:

https://content-system.gog.com/open_link/download?path=/open/galaxy/client/setup_galaxy_1.2.67.58.exe

Run Galaxy with /runWithoutUpdating in the shortcut.

Rename the GalaxyUpdater from C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\redists\

This solution no longer works and this answer shouldn't be marked as the solve anymore.

Check the post above mine for new details.

THX that worked well
Hey everyone, I found this in the community wishlist: Allow users to stay with Galaxy 1.2

Also, to prevent the update, here's what I did to disable update for good. Seems to have worked, and all is fine.
