It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Khellvyn: Would also like to know if anyone has figured out a way to get GOG Galaxy to run on Windows 11. I've tried uninstalling, deleting the destination file folder after uninstalling, reinstalling, ran as admin. Nothing seems to work. I've sent a ticket in an only got the automated "We received your request. We will get back with you" response and have not heard anything. I've got games here that I would like to play at some point and I feel that they are being held hostage. lol

Windows 7 still rocks! No problems here :-D
Not sure if this is related, but I started having problems with GOG Galaxy automatically crashing after about 30 seconds with no error message. It seemed to be when trying to sync with the server. I am running Windows 10 Pro (x64). I tried uninstalling and re-installing GOG Galaxy 2.0 multiple times with no change. I noticed after uninstalling a GOG game I was no longer able to install it from GOG Galaxy and did the manual download and install as suggested by the previous poster in this thread, but noticed my game progress was not being saved or synced with the server.

A couple weeks or months later I did more digging and found errors in my event viewer Application log, but they were related to another application referencing a DLL file. I searched online for information on this DLL file and found some thread for another game or application and the solution was to uninstall and re-install "Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 2022 Redistributable (x86)" and "Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 2022 Redistributable (x64)". After doing this and restarting my computer I attempted to re-install GOG 2.0, since I had previously uninstalled it, and this time I was unable to launch GOG Galaxy at all. I was now getting this error:

GOG_Galaxy_2.0.exe - Application Error

The application was unable to start correctly (0x0000005). Click OK to close the application.

After doing more research I found a thread in this forum titled "0xc0000005 error" suggesting to turn off "Mandatory ASLR", which I did via Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > App & Browser Control > Exploit protection > Exploit protection settings > System settings > Force randomization for images (Mandatory ASLR), changed "On by default" to "Use default (Off)". The error went away, GOG Galaxy was no longer automatically crashing, I was able to re-install my game within GOG Galaxy without having to manually download and install it, and my progress is now saving and being synced with the server.

My GOG Galaxy wont accept my password anymore. I use the same password as for the online store. It used to load, but would say not connected. I reinstalled now and after the fresh install I cant login. Any clues?

Alistar: I was having this problem as well and this at least let it open for me:

I have GoG Galaxy on the Windows quick launch bar, and when I 'right click' it gives me options specific to GoG Galaxy like "Downloads" "Owned Games" and so on.

I clicked on "Owned Games" and it finally launched properly.
"Downloads" worked for me as well.
I have the same problem, It doesn't run till I launch it three times.

I had to put GoG Galaxy on my quick launch bar and then followed your instructions and it worked. Thank you
Still doesn't work, I double click on GOG Galaxy and nothing happens
[ISSUE FIXED, CHECK EDIT 2]

Same here.
It's been almost a year since GOG launcher won't launch. I didn't care much cause I wasn't playing Cyberpunk anymore (loved it, 200h).
But now I realize. No cloud data, no link so progression/success. I regret not buying it on Steam.

Tried everything. Deleting folders, %appdata%, and registry.
Installed on different hard drives.

Support answered me first, but when I said nothing still happens, they seem not to answer. I'll edit if they do.

I'm super close to ask for a refund. I won't buy Phantom Liberty with GOG not running.

It works well on other computers at my home, but not mine (the most powerful).

I've lost hope, I'm so sad.

EDIT :
They reached back to me, lovely dedication.
Still nothing to do (tried "clean boot mode" which I didn't before, still nothing happens)

EDIT2 :

I've had my issue fixed, just right now.
It looks like some programs can interfere with GOG GALAXY.
I unistalled them via the Windows' config panel (this simple)
Here are the list of deleted programs (i don't know which was interefering, but I believe 2 softwares were interefering with each others) :
- Advanced System Care
- Driver Booster (both are from the same company)
- Malware Bytes
And here I am again.
I tried every thing ; "clean boot mode", installed older version, installed on different harddrive, nothing worked.
So, try to unnistall every program that you can, that might interefere with your PC in anyway, and you should find it (antivirus, optimizer, whatever you can unistall, try it)

I'll add to this, the Smart Cleaning option for CCleaner was killing it for me. Didn't have to uninstall, just had to turn off that function.
I'm having the same problem, while running Windows 11. When I double click, I get the pop-up that asks if I want to allow this app to make changes to my device. I click "yes," and then nothing happens.

If I open Task Manager, Galaxy is listed as a process for a couple of seconds, and then it goes away again.

I had been playing Baldur's Gate 3 using offline installers, which take FOREVER to download, considering that there are 28 pieces, but then I had a family emergency to attend to and couldn't play for awhile. Now the offline installers only give patch versions that are far in advance of the game I have installed, so I can't update my game unless I uninstall and reinstall the whole @#$% thing.

Is there a way to get older patch versions, so I can update my game, considering that Galaxy simply won't work for me?
I JUST CLICKED "Download GOG Galaxy" it then shows up in my files. I right click it, and nothing happens... I run it as Administrator, it asks me "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?" i click yes...and nothing happens. I restart my pc and still no change. I am brand new to this platform please help if you can.

I'm having the same issue. I uninstalled GOG Galaxy because it just would not connect to the servers. So I uninstalled it, reinstalled it, and now it wont even launch GOG Galaxy. About to just ask for a refund of everything I just purchased.
