I was wondering why my CPU usage was spiked at around 10% even after I had been sitting idle at the desktop for several minutes.

Open task manager and I see that "Galaxy Updater Application (32 bit)" is utilizing a lot of CPU power and I don't know why. The client isn't updating, nor is there a current update for it. Also, I had closed out Galaxy, it shouldn't have been open any more on my system.

Why was the "Galaxy Updater Application" hogging CPU cycles when Galaxy wasn't even open?
Also, why is it hogging so many CPU cycles when there is nothing to update?
