Ok, We can download extras from galaxy, but my idea is develop a feature to open pdf or images with a bundled reader inside Galaxy 2.

But of course, the most realistic request would be, at least, the option to launch the extras externally with your preferred/default reader.

Greetings
extras already got added in the last patch mate, along with offline installers (which don't work) and sound files... the change logs and keys are still missing if that is what you mean?

Can a pdf be opened directly in Galaxy?
yes it can be opened from Galaxy
but its not opened in Galaxy

Galaxy is not a Pdf viewer and thats a good thing because Pdf are a world standard that changes... they are very big in the US but less so else where + dev teams will not want to be locked into making whatever becomes Gog-Pdf because thats extra work they don't need to do for Steam or others

Font licences alone are a Fucking nightmare, every two bit group wants the standards changed to be more blind, deaf etc readable

in most senarios you click extras which allows them to download... then you click the download icon to show the Pdf
what Pdf reader & can it auto unzip the file depends on each users system options

That is a zip downloaded with the option existing in the extras. Of course, you download it and then open it with your preffered reader.

"Later if you want to read the pdf again you must navigate to the folder and open it, because in the extras, what you can do is download them". But What I did mean is a different idea. The possibility to open extras directly from the launcher. If it is a bundled reader or a link to your files it would be up to GOG.

That was the point of the post.

And sorry if you dislike it or you dont want any implementation about it because it should be a step back or something terribe, but please, you are forcing the situation too much.
its only a zip file because gog packs it that way so I don't see any reasion this idea couldn't work

Don't see a reason this could not be integrated, Galaxy is built on QT and there are already implementations for that (https://wiki.qt.io/Handling_PDF)
