bazilisek: If you're a long time adventure game fan, no. It's pretty awful. If you are a newcomer to the genre, you'll probably like it.

Elitist? Why yes I am, thanks for asking.
You really think he'd ask if Syberia is any good if he were long time adventure game fan? ;)
Hey GOG team, May 20th is today! Monday is May 23th! For a moment I thought the promo ends in a moment... ;)
Sorry GOG I've no time for your promos now. I'm still savouring the goodness that is The Witcher 2.

gyokzoli: A very good promo. It's too bad I'm not interested in any of these.
avatar
Phaidox: You're not interested in the Syberia series or Still Life? You're an EVIL, evil man.

@Sirkenneloth
Give it a try, it's worth it. It's all about atmosphere. If I were to recommend one game without hesitation though - it would be Still Life, one of my favourite adventure games.
Kk thanks then :) Will give it a try :)
Hmmm...j'ai déjà tous ces jeux sur CD sauf qu'un, und il n'est pas interéssant pour moi.

Quel dommage...parce que les jeux d'Anuman sont de véritables curiosités!

Mais le nom "Gogger" - trop fort!

(How do you pronounce it by the way? As in English - Gog-Er? French - Gohg-Gair? German - Goh-Ga?)

SLP2000: It's really good promo, but...

I'd like to see promo sales done with more imagination.

And it's not about me ranting about the Interplay promo, which we clearly won't see at all.

It's just that it's boring to see another Anuman/Stategy First/TopWare/Kalypso/Rebellion/1C promo sale.

Be more creative - give us something like some old promo sales "GOG games staring with the letter A" or "GOGs that has only one word name" or something else. Or maybe the best of a genre promo.

There's no fun with promo sales anymore. The best promos lately were Witcher 1 and Motoracer, and that's beacuse they were/are different than usual.

GOG, please be more creative about promo sales. I'd like to see some fun promo for 30% off better than boring "publisher/developer" promo for 50% off.
I'd understand you if it was some usual "30% for the part, 50% for all" kind of promo but hey, you don't have to buy the whole catalogue now. I, for example, have a Polish box version of Syberia 1+2 but I wanted to have it here, too. I bought Syberia 1 in a previous single-title promo and now I added Syberia 2 to the list (well, together with Still Life... Damn you, GOG!) so I don't really see a reason to complain. ;)

Oh, for buying purposes this is a great promo (and, contrary to popular opinion, 30%/50% is great too), so I'm not complaining about the price drop.

I'd like to see more creative selection of games.

Still Life and Syberias are worth it, would've bought the if i wouldn't already have them. Having played the demo of Haegemonia something like 10 years ago and liking it, i'd recommend it, but don't hold me to it. :)
No! Bad GOG! Stop taking my money! >:-(
For example "games TheEnigmaticT played this year".
Or in case he's not a gamer ;) "the games that French Monk would leave his Order for "

"the games in which Aliens are trying to conquer the Earth"
"the games that would scare off Lovecraft"
"the games in which you have to save the kingdom / rescue the princess"

I always liked GOG for pranks and not being dead serious. I enjoyed "closure" stunt very much, and all those things (like comptetitions) they were doing with a pint of humour.

Now I'd like to see some gamers humour in their weekend promos.

All those would be good, but I'm guessing pretty difficult to negotiate. A single publisher promo is much simpler from the paperwork side of things.

Maybe, I'm not sure how it works, I always thought that they covered this in the agreement with copyright owner that they may do one/two or more promo sales during a year.

Nevertheless, it's not an excuse for GOG, they may prepare for such promo.

If they need more ideas, I can come up with many, so they could plan a promo schedule for whole year forward.

AFAIK no, the vouchers ignore discounts.
