Hate to say it but I would 100% advise against tumblr - quickest way to get an idea nicked!
Yeah, that's kind of the appeal though - often find with strategies I end up just closing event windows and the likes the second they happen, so could be good there, but also with more sandbox-styled games I usually have my own narrative running too.
Either way figured it could be a good brain stretcher.

I really don't have any problem with someone doing the same thing as me so Tumblr in that sense isn't a problem. Besides, I'm not the first one to do this kind of thing either. I'd just be glad to get some views. One thing about Tumblr I have a real problem with when reading about it is that it hasn't any comments?!?! Kind of hard to receive some kind of criticism when no one can reply... And what kind of blog doesn't have comments...? Yeah you follow the story much more and the game becomes much more interesting. You start to feel like your character a little more. One fun thing I did in Morrowind for example was when I changed my Nordic Fur Boots for some Netch Leather Boots was to wash my feet off before (fur boors in Vvanderfell is kinda hot) and found some pearls. If I hadn't written about my game I and kept a journal like I did I certainly would not have gone down to the pond to wash my feet.
If you decide to write about it so good luck!

I really meant the continued problem of direct theft / copyright breach and infringement that happens on tumblr / as a result of posting on there.
Granted, it is a far deeper issue for those working in visual media, but it isn't encouraging.
As to feedback, you'd definately be better with a game / genre specific forum (GSC's S.T.A.L.K.E.R. forums for instance had a very vibrant and active "fan-fic" set), or even better, the likes of deviantart (and its multitude of groups) as well as sites like WritersCafe.
Or you could just bag a relevant game from GOG, do a giveaway here on the forum and have feedback as a required entry point (did this the other year myself with my art, and not only got good / well thought out responses, but also about 1000 hits in 24 hours).
Edit: and those are the kind of minutae I was wanting to build upon (re: the boot change).

I'm not sure if it's against the rules to do personal advertising and therefor did not post a link. Besides even if it was ok this thread isn't for advertising but to get some tips on where I could easier get the interest of people.
As long as it's game related (and non-profit besides) I don't think it's any problem. I'm not sure if it's against the rules to do personal advertising and therefor did not post a link. And in order to get people to read your blog the target audience needs to know it exists.

I've read, but never finished, a pretty great narrative of Planescape Torment by Shadow Catboy that sounds exactly like what you're doing.
Try the Let's Play Archive, , or maybe [url=http://scribd.com]Scribd.
About the Let's Play Archive:
You're giving me an idea. If I had the time, I would definitely write a narrative of Dark Souls, Morrowind, Daggerfall, Two Worlds, or Summoner. Doing so would be hella fun, ridiculously time consuming, and improve my writing skills tremendously.

About the Let's Play Archive:
All the LP threads on this website were originally posted on the Something Awful forums, in their dedicated Let's Play subforum.
After the LP is finished everything is bundled together and copied over here to be kept safe from the whims and vagaries of the internet.

I looked at WritersCafe and it seems good. Especially if I want feedback on my writing. I'll be sure to post there as I'm finished with my first chapter. I'll check some game specific forums and if they have good activity and it seems ok to post this kind of stuff there I'll prolly be doing that too. Granted, it is a far deeper issue for those working in visual media, but it isn't encouraging.

Thanks for the information about LPArchive. I'll look into SomethingAwful forums as the things posted on LPA was just the kind of stuff I'm doing. Try the Let's Play Archive, , or maybe [url=http://scribd.com]Scribd.

If you decide to write about a game I would recommend Morrowind. I wrote a bit in it but decided to try another game since I recently played it and have played it a lot before. Some good things about Morrowind is it's open world and the dialogue. In this case the dialogue is good in my opinion. It allows you to write your own dialogue instead of having a pre-deined one from a game that already has strong dialogue. Gives you more to play with so to speak. It allows fore some great role-playing if you have good imagination.
