So as a kid I wasn't a nintendo kid, my first Nintendo product was the Gameboy Color, my first Nintendo Console was the Wii, so I never had a 64 or Gamecube or other such things.

Instead I was a PlayStation kid. I can remember getting my PlayStation 1 at Christmas with Spyro 1. Than I got the rest of the original Spyro Trilogy (and 2 copies of Ripto's Rage) as well as Cool Boarders 3, Crash Team Racing, 2 demo disks, Bugs Life and other such titles.

But when asked; "What's your favorite PlayStation 1 game?" I always say Spyro 1 because of it's level design and variance and because of all the hours I got out of it. For instance, last summer (summer of 2013) I bought it on the PlayStation Network and sat down to play it again on my PS3 and saw things I had never seen before like the Wizardry Peaks level. Never saw that as a kid because I just enjoyed running around to the music.

So what is your favorite PlayStation 1 game?
Same answer as "favorite game of all time": Final Fantasy Tactics. Great story, great world, and the best game play of its genre.

That's another thing, never played any Final Fantasy until I think crisis core on the PSP... which, from what I'm told, means that I was missing out big time. But I think I was a bit young at the time to play Final Fantasy. One day though I'll play Tactics.
Grew up with the NES, but took the move to SONY with the PsOne.

So many favorites.. To name the ones I've played from A to Z over and over, and all over again..

- Castlevania Symphony of he Night
- Crash Team Racing
- Final Fantasy VII
- Metal Gear Solid

Some I don't have today but loved back then from friends : Tomb Raider, Resident Evil 1 & 2, Silent Hill!

And a few I really like but not played too many times :

Breath of Fire IV, Dino Crisis 2, Fear Effect, Final Fantasy VIII & IX, Resident Evil 3, Vagrant Story, Xenogears.

To end my post a special spotlight for two "hidden gems" : Galerians & Thousand Arms!

I don't really have a lot, but Soul Blade is pretty good. Probably my favorite. Symphony of the Night is up there as well. Hopefully I'll expand the collection soon.
Metal Gear Solid for me, loved everything about that game. Great story, great gameplay, great graphics, awesome characters, amazing bosses, etc.

Some other favorites of mine include Syphon Filter 2, Silent Hill, Fear Effect 2, and Crash Bandicoot Warped.
- Crash Team Racing
- Vagrant Story (although that one's kind of a love-hate relationship, at some point I got sick of the frequent and tedious boss battles and the complicated weapon system; intriguing story and atmosphere though)

same here, well, almost the same, I have a game cube instead of the wii because I'm an extreme couch potatoe, but I got the game cube very late when there were no new games for it anymore.

the playstation 1 always was - and still is - kind of my favorite console because of the great memories (yeah nostalgia is top priority for me)
and one of my first games was Spyro, too. I played it along with wonderful jump n runs:
Crash Bandicoot, Gex and Croc.
those were really brilliant jump n runs, a quality which you normally don't get nowadays anymore.
the levels were colorfull and full of a veriety of challanges. the characters were cute and/or cool and had interesting skills.
and Bugs Life..man was that great with those seeds you could/had to use to advance in the story.
it was even better than the movie.
anonther thing which was superb, of course, is Silent Hill 1. I kept running away when the enemies would surround me which prevented me from beating the game.

Further games I liked:
Dark Stone
Dino Crisis
Resident Evil 1
Soulreaver
Harvest Moon
Pitfall
Spider Man
Legend of Legaia
Duke Nukem
Techno Mage

Games I still want to play:
Spider
Blood Omen
Koudelka
