I loved Syberia 1, got stuck on the stupid gerbil popsicle maze thingumie in Syberia 2.
Found it generally less logical than the first, with far less connection to the story.
It was also guilty of my pet hate - objects in plain sight that you can't interact with until "the right time".

Oh look a brush, that might come in handy -. nope, just scenery ... sometime later ... I could do with something like a stick - that brush might be handy but its just scenery ... go nuts trying to find something like a stick, eventually check walkthrough ... use the brush AAARRRGGHHH!

Walkthroughs are for losers ... like me - when I get stuck.

I did OK on the Sierra games. I find you either "get" the way the developers brains were wired or you don't.
Huh, depends, i loved getting stuck in some. I remember the berry rubbing experience in SQ2 took me a while to figure out. PQ3 and GK1 got me stuck for quite some time too.
But games that made me stuck in an unpleasant way? Hm, Discworld is obvious. But generally, i found the adventure games offsprings very irritating. The 'logical' puzzle based games, like the Myst games, 7th Guest, The Neverhood [surprisingly], and to a certain degree the Samorost (both+Machinarium) games (though they were easy, they took the Myst school of design), and the godawful Blue Ice. Getting stuck in that one was kinda the point i guess, but it wasn't fun, and when you finally figured it out, You didn't feel the 'yay'.
Riven was damn tough but amazingly beautiful and well-designed. I needed help with that one. One of the last puzzles basically ties the entire game together and it you miss some notes you have a LOT of backtracking to do.

Dracula 3: Path of the Dragon was also difficult. I loved the history and lore worked into the game but I often became impatient when I had to read long documents. It was nice to have a walkthrough to identify the important pieces of information.
Can't remember the name of the game.. a one word title that was an adventure game that came on like 5 CDs probably 15 years ago. You are sent to a space station (planet?) in which the people had disappeared. A sci-fi suspensful adventure game that was dark and atmospheric. I couldn't get out of the first few areas.

That, and Paradise from Benoit Sokal.
Damn I got my ass kicked again :(
Definitely Discworld. It gave me a really good laugh, but it's just like the books - none of the puzzles made any sense
Starcross (Infocom) - I've yet to solve this one.

Had quite a few challenges on the original Zork (I, II, & III) series as well, but Starcross is a bear.
Lure of the Temptress springs to mind. I spent so much time stuck on it, I hate consulting walkthroughs so I spent hours just wandering around looking for what to do next, over several sessions, until I caved in and looked at the walkthrough.

Turned out the item I needed just doesn't spawn correctly if you don't visit a certain location at a certain point in the game, demanding a restart/reload. I can count on one hand the number of games which have made me rage to that extent.
