We've recorded moving pictures and sound for you to watch!

Hey! For all those to busy to check GOG.com every day, and those who like our announcements in a nice little audiovisual package, GOG.com is happy to present [url=http://youtu.be/UkHn--STc5A]This Week on GOG--new, funky, and fresh video that showcases the whole GOG-week (new releases, promos, and special events) in just few minutes.

Please let us know what do you think about the first episode of This Week on GOG. This is something completely new we're doing and we're willing to change to make you happier. Write comments on video page and in the forums--we're reading all of this!

Thanks for watching and see you (watch you?) next Friday!

DukeNukemForever: Interesting idea. Beside new releases and promos you maybe also want to show also some other stuff like site improvements or functions (downloader how-to, use of the wishlist, support system etc.) to the newbies. With the current promos and a missing anouncement in the video I guess there will be no regular weekend promo.
But there is a Weekend Promo: PC & Mac Essentials http://www.gog.com/en/promo/mac_games_launch_promo_18_10_12

Fuzzyfireball: You forgot some releases, also you should answer tweets and forum questions. That'd be interesting.
We wanted to keep the main part of the video under 3,5 minutes and we had to include a whole large chunk about our Mac debut. We decided not to include Edna & Harvey, as Depoinia2 is an offer from the same developer. We also skipped Warsow, which is a freebie. In regular weekly shows we won't have to make such choices and all of the releases will be there, along with the weekend promo announcement.

Answering questions? It's a nice idea but for another show. We want to keep this one short and informative, so all users get something out of it.

ZwaanME: I like the idea, but it feels a bit like an afterthought: "this is what you could have bought at a discount if you had been paying attention to our website last week".[snip]
We'll be releasing TWOGOG videos every Friday, along with the weekend promo announcement. We're talking about current week's releases and the promo that will last three more days. We don't talk about GOG Gem Promo that lasts only till Thursday. You don't get any outdated news in the video.

Gazoinks: Protip, GOG: Get Mike Pondsmith in to do narration and watch your revenue rise by leaps and bonds.

Actually... I tried to voice our first in-house test episode of TWOGOG. It only seemed logical, as I'm writing the script and I know it by heart. I even have some acting experience and did some radio work back in college. But the problem is--I'm not a native speaker. Have you seen yesterday's conference? Imagine TWOGOG is anchored by Marcin Iwiński. Sure--polish people are understandable while speaking in English. Especially to other polish people, I imagine ;-) But let me tell you this--when I heard my test recording I was like...

So: no. Not now. Probably not ever. :-)

SimpleUser: +1 GOG many thanks. An idea. How about mentioning the PR stuff you've done that isn't on the GOG site! All the interviews on other websites etc and link to them, afterall, everything that was mentioned in the video was/has already been on the site[snipitty-snip]
Noted. :-)

mistermumbles: I guess I really need to check out this video when I have a better connection available. This Wifi on the train is barely passable.
Wow. This post calls for a "first world problem" meme :-)

Dude, working Wi-Fi on the train. Never happened to me. Irish bus, yes, but never a train.

tfishell: As crazy as it sounds, I was a little disheartened that you didn't acknowledge Bioforge in the video. I know you didn't want to cram too much together, but a little reference would have been nice.
Aw, you're right. That's only because of the conference week being so damn busy. We plan to include every single release in the video on regular basis. Surely Bioforge deserved a mention!
