[url=http://www.gog.com/promo/activision_treasures]This week, we’ve prepared a set of seven treasures from Activision, which are available for only $2.99 each until Monday, April 2nd at 11.59 p.m. EDT.

, a unique steampunk cRPG designed by the creators of Fallout (Tim Cain, Leonard Boyarsky and Jason Anderson), is a game that every RPG-maniac should complete at least once. The fusion of industrial revolution and a world of magic is a home to Dwarves, Humans, Orcs, and Elves; a place of arcane runes and steam-works, of magic and machines, of sorcery and science. [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/arcanum_of_steamworks_and_magick_obscura]Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura is available for $2.99 this weekend only on GOG.com

Caesar III is a city-management simulator, which puts you in charge of a small province with hopes of peace and prosperity. You have to listen to your citizens, protect your people from barbarians, and fear the gods in order to build a better Rome! You won’t build it in a day, but you have a whole weekend ahead to buy Caesar III for only $2.99.

People in the Middle Ages lived in constant fear of demons and God's punishment. Christof, christian crusader, does not fear vampires. In fact he came to Prague to kill them all. Unfortunately he’s become one of the undead creatures he once battled. Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption will send you across Prague, Vienna, London, and New York to seek vengeance for your tortured immortality for only $2.99.

The Zork Anthology offers you the chance to play the original (like the first ever) adventure games Zork I, Zork II, Zork III, Beyond Zork, Zork Zero, and Planetfall. The Zork saga is text adventuring at its finest. Welcome to the Underground. Your greatest challenge lies ahead – and downwards. Return to Zork is rediscovery of the previous adventures, but now with graphics (live actors and video sequences.) and a superb soundtrack. Zork: Nemesis, another part in the franchise offers spectacular production value--Hollywood actors, dramatic live-action video, hypnotic ambient music and dazzling special effects. Zork: Grand Inquisitor is the last installment of the famous Zork adventure series. It uses the same formula as its predecessor: first-person perspective, 360 degree camera rotation, pre-rendered backgrounds, and live actors. Humor and comical pop-culture references accompany you throughout the entire game and guarantee that you will never get bored. So if you are looking for a not so serious oldschool adventure then this gem is for you. All games releases from Zork series are $2.99 on GOG.com this weekend only.

Visit the promo page and collect those treasures!

Truck: GOG - really, when Suspended comes out, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE release it with a 3d-printer capable model of the original box art. PLEASE. I love that box art.
You can't say things like this and not show us what you mean. :P

All I can find is a pic of some frozen dude with his eyes closed and I presume it's not that.

Truck: The Zorks started it all - in a distant land of magic and wizards. (With a serious amount of depth.
*cough* Adventure. aka Colossal Cave. Aka whatever are the names of dozens of remakes that game got from the late 70's onwards. Both Infocom and Level 9 Computing started by imitating it.
Looks like it's going to be a ZorkFest/ZorkFeast for me. Anyway, I still don't get it - why isn't the whole Infocom catalogue on GOG yet?

(A hint to the GOG honchos - adding some more Infocom stuff or e.g. the third game from the Populous franchise would definitely help to calm down those who fear that with the welcome of new and more expensive titles GOG will stop caring about the legends.)

I just came in this topic to say that if anyone likes the first two fallout games then Arcanum is worth looking into especially for only 3 dollars.
I got all the Zork games.
Divine Divinity has to be next for the chop surely?

csmith: Ah, Caesar 3. Why do you tempt me so?

Is Caesar 3 fun? I don't know if I'm a city-management sim type of guy, despite being a huge Civ/SMAC buff and wasting a lot of time at SimCity 1 back in the Junior High computer lab.

The demo sure was fun back in the day. I played it over and over after playing Caesar 2. This could be nostalgia speaking, though, so the user reviews are probably more accurate than my 10+ year old demo perspective. :)
Always thought I had Arcanum on my shelf, because it one of my favourite games, well now it is.

The only other promo game not on my shelf now is Ceasar 3, but I need that extra 3$ to pre-order Legend of Grimrock on monday.
Oh my, what to do? Alread have all the Zork games thanks to that super special all-around awesome get-it-while-it's-still-in-print collector's edition box... but then again, $12 for getting that super special all-around-awesome get-it-while-it's-still-on-sale GOG edition still sounds pretty tempting.

(Btw, I love how Nemesis is getting so many favourable ratings here. I can stil remember the huge outcry when it was first released - far too many people missed out on this game thanks to it, which is a real shame. No, it's not Zork. Yes, it's still one of the best graphical adventures to date.)

The parser in Adventure (aka Colossal Cave) isn't anywhere close to the infocom parser or Z-machine.

And if you're going to be pedantic, Colossal Cave is based on an actual set of caves in the Kentucky area. The history of Colossal Cave is quite interesting as well - but it doesn't have any mention of any measurements that changed based on the favorite pet of the king.

(Also, the "it" I was referring to was "Infocom's collection." We could go into the Scott Adams adventures, the Magic Scrolls, etc - they're all connected, yes. They're not the first items that Infocom published, which was what I was referring to. Unfortunately, we're using English; and English is a vague language.)

Yes, it's that. White face of a cryogenically frozen fellow. Would make an AWESOME 3d print.

And fits "Suspended" perfectly.

Parser input is a different question altogether. I won't bring ELIZA to the IF party.
Curse my metal body I was too slow. Missed this sale at Xmas as it finished earlier than the main sale and then missed this weekend deal.

I will own all the Zork games at some point!
