Is there any chance to get a release "The X-Files Game" (Fox Interactive, Activision) here?
I'd love to!
The interactive movie one? Damn that was terrible.

There was a supposedly good survival horror X-Files game on consoles but I don't think it ever came to the PC. I could be wrong though, I didn't pay a hell of a lot of attention.

I played it on the PSOne and it wasn't very good either. It was a poor AITD clone with VO's from the cast but Duchovney and Anderson sounded like they just phoned in their lines.
It came to PC. Release date May 31, 1998.

It's a typical point-and-click game, uses FMV - Virtual Cinema.

The few X-Files games that came out were all pretty sucky, but I would still be interested in them as a sort of collectors item.

I was a complete nutjob addict of the show back in the 90s.

Weren't we all till it hit about series 4 and just became stupid.

Series 6 was when it really started to reek, 4 & 5 were still OK. 8 & 9 were disasters, and the ending an absolute disaster.

Oh, and you should check out The Lone Gunmen spinoff series that aired for a season if you haven't.

Yeah Chris Carter was completely losing the plot at the end. I remember the ending and it was terrible. How they managed to send of that series like that is beyond me. The only good point of the last series was the always brilliant Cary Elwes.

I have seen The Lone Gunmen and I quite enjoyed it but I think it suffered from the same problem as Firefly in that the creators were never quite sure what they wanted the series to be and in both cases the shows were cancelled just as they were starting to find their form.

Actually, it was really pretty good for a FMV adventure.

What upset fans (and reviewers) is people had assumed that in an X-files game, you'd be playing Mulder & Scully rather than them simply being cameos. As I recall, Mulder/Duchovny had maybe 5 minutes in the game total (if that) where as Scully/Anderson had a bit more after you actually managed to locate her.

I still play it from time to time just for the acting and the interaction between the agent you play and the detective chick.

Now, if you want godawful, you want the PS2 "X-files: Resist or Serve". The adventure/autopsy sections with Scully were ok, but that game just blew; especially the badly implemented "survival horror" with Mulder.

I was talking about the survival horror game, as I thought was obvious.

I loved 1-5 as you say... 6 and 7 were tolerable and 8 and 9 were terrible. Watching the show somewhat recently though I found the whole thing, even the early episodes, to be kind of weak actually. I'm not sure the show holds up for me as well as other shows from my youth like Star Trek TNG or whatever.
I'd love to see that game here as well. I remember I wanted it so much when it was released but it was bloody expensive at the time.

OT: THE X FOOLS Intro :)
I didn't played any of the games.
but I liked the series, even though the show started to suck on season 7.

and the movies were good!!!
