First of all, I have a very slow internet connection. My download speed usually peaks around 120 kbps. I tried downloading the game with the GOG download manager as usual, but after a few minutes of downloading the download bar skipped to the end and said the game was done downloading, but that there was a "checksum error" on some of the chunks (can't remember which ones).
So I tried downloading the files manually (with Google Chrome download manager). The Witcher comes in the form of a .exe and 5 .bin files, most of them about 2GB each, some of them less than that. I let them download all night, only to wake up this morning and find that most of the .bin files had "finished", but of course only a few hundred MB of each had downloaded, and they had finished prematurely just like the GOG download manager did.
So are the files hosted by GOG corrupted? Or is this a problem on my end? How do I fix this? Thanks.
