If they can get the rights Sacred would be a great game I think.

I've actually been playing this game all day. Just knocked off for the evening. It's one of the better Diablo clones, in my estimation.

Sacred is good, but not great. IMO it isn't as good as Diablo, but I like 'You can go where you want' freedom Sacred gives you. And I guess that's all I like about that game, in comparison with Diablo II...
It's a quite recent game. I don't think it'll be available for now.
Plus, it's on Steam for 9.99$, so I don't think the editor will allow its distribution on good old games.

However, no ask, no get. Maybe they would allow other outlets to sell the game since Ascaron(sp) wishes to make the most money as possible as well.
If it ever came to gog I trust it would be the Gold version or whatever they called it. I had it years ago but sold it off. I too would pick this one up.
I just purchased this on Steam a couple days ago, and I'm enjoying it immensely. Plus, Sacred 2 is coming out soon, so there's that to look forward to as well.
I don't think the fact that it was published in 2004 is a problem - seems to be a few fairly recent games on here already.
Sacred is an enjoyable game. It is well worth buying ans unlike some diablo clones has a good sense of humor. Looking forwars to the sequal
I already bought it on Steam. I managed to hook me for a about 2 weeks, as most Diablo clones do, but to tell the truth I got bored after that. The freedom and humor was great, but I just felt tired of the scenery and enemies, which were feeling very repetitive by that time.
Part of what makes Diablo so amazing, imo, is that the scenery and enemies change often, and are generally drastically different and memorable.
So Steam'd Titan Quest instead. I'm more satisfied with this one. I like the magic and scenery better. Anyone like Titan Quest?
I played TQ and it was just too similar to Diablo II. Not better. And since I'm fed up with Diablo, I played TQ trough just because I bought it...

Yes, I actually like it very much - in some parts, even more than Diablo. The setting is great, it looks nice and everything, but what I like most about the game is the mastery system. As if 9 classes weren't enough, being able to combine 2 of them is a great idea, imho.
I'm not that much into Sacred, though. I can't exactly point out what it is, I just don't really like it.
I never finished Sacred mostly because it was two open and had no direction. Now I don't mind this but I also enjoy linear games.
I quite liked TQ and IT expansion but the story didn't grab me as much as Diablo. And one thing that I think TQ could have benefit from was Cutscenes. I LOVE game movies. The videos in Diablo, WarCraft, StarCraft, Wheel of Time (potentially all time favourite game) and so on. I almost see it was a reward for getting that far.
I also quite like Fate and Fate 2 :p
