An original interactive experience by Jasper Byrne.

Lone Survivor: Director's Cut, a unique tale of loneliness, horror, and creeping madness in a city lost to humans with stylish retro visuals, and a branching storyline where every action you take really matters, is available 33% off on GOG.com. That's only $9.99 for the first week.

The masked protagonist must escape from a city ravaged by disease, by any means necessary. Starving and exhausted, he has begun to question how much of what he sees is even real. How to survive is up to YOU. Sneak through without firing a single shot, or kill everything in your path. Eat and sleep well, or resort to drugs to keep going. Search for survivors, or try to escape the city alone. Look after your mental health, or descend into madness...

Lone Survivor: Director's Cut looks, feels, and plays quite differently than the most titles out there. With not much bells and whistles the game manages to create a gripping, deep, and immersive experience of a living, dynamically changing world full of gruesome sights and thought provoking events. There's a bit of stealth, some adventure, intense and truly interactive narrative, and even a virtual pet--all to create a unique and memorable mix you won't soon forget. The Director's Cut edition of the game now includes a great deal of new content, graphical and audio enhancements, and the two new endings and side quests.

You'll be asking yourself "am I going mad", and you'll love every minute of it in Lone Survivor: Director's Cut, for only $9.99 on GOG.com. The 33% release discount offer lasts until Thursday, November 7, at 9:59AM GMT.
This game is excellent... will definitely buy ASAP.
Great game. When neither of them are on sale, though, the GOG versions costs $5 more then the Steam version, which seems a little unfortunate.
Nice release!

Smannesman: Or maybe I bought it because a friend of mine was raving about it.. but then I would probably have tried it already.

keeveek: Humble Bundle.
Yes that's where I got a copy of this too I believe, interesting; but, didn't ever get a chance to finish it. Maybe this is the season!

Hesusio: Am I the only one to whom his mask looks like he's constantly grinning? Surely I'm not the only one.
avatar
Mivas: You're not alone :).
I'm not seeing the mask no matter how hard I look. A huge design flaw, in my opinion.
And... DOWNLOADED !
Another one for the wishlist. Damn financial catastrophes...
Hmm, a bit expensive, perhaps at GOG's Xmas sale

Kunovski: any thoughts on how to update my HB version to Director's Cut?
avatar
keeveek: you mean DRM Free version? They should upload a new installer.

if you mean on steam, it's automatically updated for everyone for free.
I bought it from the Lone Survivor website, d'you think it's updated there?

Yes, that does sound like something I could easily find out myself, but I'm only typing this in a free ten minutes etc etc excuses.

(of course, the website uses the Humble widget, only just realised this, I'm a nidiot.)

BadDecissions: ... the GOG versions costs $5 more then the Steam version.
The price is an absolute mystery to me. This isn't the only title in GOG catalog that is higher than other, what I would call "mainstream" pricing. It's disheartening.

EDIT: I read this post which indicates a higher price is intended, but I don't like seeing Steam have a lower price than my beloved GOG ;)

Never heard of it before but I liked the music in the video and the idea that a pixelated 2d side view game can be scary is interesting so instabought and downloaded.

PaterAlf: Just checked the Humble Bundle installer. They haven't updated the file by now.
avatar
Kunovski: they indeed didn't... maybe it's better to just grab it again here on GOG :o)
Just checked the website; think he said he's going to update it, but doesn't know when he'll be able to do it.

Thanks for the link. It actually seems to indicate that the Steam version should also be going up in price. That would actually make sense since the current discount there is 33% aswell. Perhaps Steam wasn't happy about them trying to raise the price during their Halloween sale.
Just bought this yesterday on Steam, hope its the same...or at least can be patched with an update.

With Deadly Premonition this is another example of a game GOG should have had marked as "Coming Soon", bought it now on Steam and won't be double dipping just to support GOG.

EDIT: Ah turns out it is the same.
