So I just sat through some video clips of some awesome looking MMOs.

I often times get frustrated because console style games hardy ever show up on PC, or do they?

I have not come by hardly any MMO where it is not necessary to keep purchasing in-game currency with credit card.

So what do you guys think? Do you think game designers of the future are all going to be designing MMOs ONLY?

Think about it, they can charge you over and over and if you don't pay, you'll never get anywhere because other live players whom have used credit cards to purchase better equipment will continually make sure that you never make it very far.

I think this is the first time I've seen someone complain that there are too few console ports on the PC.

No. Not everyone likes MMOs (personally, I loathe them), so there will always be a market for other types of games. Someone will want to exploit that market.

It's a bit like saying "Do you think in the future the only movies that will be made are Marvel or DC adaptations?" No, of course it won't.
Actually, this is fuckin' brilliant!

The only people that can afford to play these games are well-to-do people.

From a pauper point of view, this is an awesome and indirect manner in which to collect alms.

And although a slight swindle, the people that will invest can afford to do so, so although predatory - it is still morale.

Well, you're right and not all games are sold via digital distribution either whch was a fear of mine about eight years back.

Although the price and availability of hard copies sky-rocketed.

Let me correct that, the price of hard copiies sky-rocketed but the availability, at least here in Zealand, was chopped down drastically to top pop twenty.
