Saw this kind of thread before, have been thinking for some time about creating this one, so here we go.

<span class="bold">Pocket Tanks Deluxe</span> is certainly not the best game in the world but it is a very fun game and it's definitely a GOG in my book. Artillery game enjoyable both against CPU and especially against an alive opponent.
I wrote an email to the creator of this fine piece of software couple of days ago to ask about his future plans about it, so here's our correspondence:

Hello!

I tried your game loooong time ago (probably about 10 years ago), I liked it then, I like it still.
I would very much like to purchase Pocket Tanks Deluxe - Collector's Edition to show my appreciation and support for your lovely work on such a good Scorched Earth remake.

However, the prices on your site are far from reasonable if you don't mind me being completely sincere. And if I understood right, even Collector's Edition doesn't have all the weapon packs included.

So, I decided to ask you about your plans for the future.
Would you like to sell (I'm mostly interested in Windows version) your game on popular online game stores like Steam and (especially) GOG.com?
I'm an active member of the GOG forums community, so I can "check the pulse of interest" there if you'd like.

From my point of view, the best thing for the future of this game (and may it live forever!) is for you to take everything you developed and put it into one Pocket Tanks Super Deluxe package, priced at let's say 9.99$ and sell it on at least one of those two online stores I mentioned.

Hope you'll at least take this into consideration.

I agree that the Collector’s Edition is a little out of date in both content and price.

As for Steam, we are considering doing a proper release with a whole new version of the game that includes in-app purchases and online play, just like the mobile version. So, there’s no plan to release the current PC/Mac version of Pocket Tanks on GoG, Steam, or anything. We are looking to the future.

Thanks for the feedback. There will be something on Steam at some point I imagine that will better meet your expectations.

I'm glad to hear you're working to improve the game. I hope that the basic version you're planning to release on Steam will have a lot of weapons already included and that additional DLC purchases won't be a big investment.
I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you that GOG.com is working on a client of their own called Galaxy and it will be released soon. It will be similar to Steam client (and hopefully even better), so I guess you should really at least consider that option as well.

You can download a shareware version of the game on official web site and try it out yourself.

I guess if you'd like to see this game available here on GOG.com as well, you can vote on the wishlist...
...or write a polite mail to mpw@blitwise.com like I did.

So, it looks like I decided to "check the pulse of interest", my dear fellow GOGers. :)
Let's hope one day we'll have a GOG Community Pocket Tanks League, that would be a blast!
If I learn anything more about this game's status in the future I'll post it here.
