In case anyone is interested, I gave away a code for Caesar III in the OP. The message was encrypted with a Caesar cipher.

That was pretty cool Spindown, it's been a long time since I got quite so involved with a puzzle, and it's rather late for me too ;)

At first I thought it was just a generic Roman Bust.. and I was subtracting all the letters used in Quod Erat Demonstrandum, which if you look at it seemed to work out quite well for a time, then it all fell apart, hahah. :D

How many letters was it shifted by?

It took me a bit of searching to find out that was actually a thing. Still, I was playing with it a bit and didn't get very far. What exactly did you have to do to get a code out of it, aside from the decryption?

It's a shift in the alphabet.. by so many letters, it's a direct translation cypher, but I don't know by how many letters.
